And these Chocolate Chip Muffins are perfect for just that! Although you could have these muffins any time of the day. They are perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
Can they really be good for you when they taste this good??
These banana muffins are lightened up from your traditional muffin which can contain a ton more sugar. These muffins are super easy to make which is a plus in my book, not to mention that everyone will love them- even kids! Speaking of, these would be great for an afternoon snack for kids.
About a month ago I was in the grocery store and in the baking isle I came across parchment paper muffin tins. I had to try them. I was tired of using those foil liner that came along with the paper ones that you had to try and spray and they still didn’t come off easy. Well guys, let me tell you that I am never going back. These parchment paper muffin tins work amazing! I was like where have you been all my life!!

Healthy Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
- 1-1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup raw honey
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 12 cup muffin tin with non cooking spray (unless you use the parchment paper liners you don't have to).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a blender, add bananas, honey, vanilla, oil, egg, milk and yogurt. Blend on high for 1 minute or until combined. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Divide batter evenly into the muffin tins and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool muffins for 5 minutes before serving.
